Been tagged by Lacey-

Over at Amygdala Thoughts, Lacey tagged me.

So I am coerced into doing the following:

1. Pick up the nearest book ( of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people & post a comment here once you post it to your blog, so I can come see.

I have never been tagged before so here it goes, the top book on my desk, to the 123rd page

They walk among us as embodied reproaches, as warnings to us- as is health, well-constitutedness, strength, pride and the sense of power were in themselves necessarily vicious things of which one must pay some day, and pay bitterly: how ready they themselves are at bottom to make one pay; how they crave to be hangmen. There is among them an abundance of the vengeful disguised as judges, who constantly bear the word "justice" in their mouths like poison spittle, always with pursed lips, always ready to spit upon all who are not discontented but go their way in good spirits.

On the Genealogy of Morals and Ecce Homo, Friedrich Nietzsche

Love that book!!! One of my favorites!!!

The others on my desk...............
UltraMetabolism, Mark Hyman
East of Eden, John Steinbeck
Taoism, Robinet
The Shipping News, E. Annie Proulx

Oh, I have not read a recent book in quite some time! And boy do I miss it!!!!!!!! I have always wanted to read the bible front to back (I mean come on- it is the most popular book in the entire world!) I vowed to not read anything else till I finished it. So for the past eight months I have been reading the bible every night.
Finally I had to take a break and move to something else for a little while. God and I talked about it and he understands. He took a break too! Started a book written in 1990 called Stepfamilies- (its not that great but it will do for now)

So now I tag someone else, right. Five people- Do I tell them or do I let them figure out I have done this on their own time? This I don't know.

1. The Doughtie House Exchange
2. The Psycho Ex-Wife
3. Typical Momma
4. Dr. Helen
5. In this house, I am the Mama

Child Support- What is it good for?

A number of things- Rent, utilities, phone, child-care, clothes, school-supplies, food, and after-school activities? Some would agree that CS covers all of these. Some would disagree. Others would say that only rent, utilities, and food makes up the child-support check. This is an on-going battle within divorced couples today. A battle that can never seem to be settled.

Bottom-line is it is always changing.
The reality is it depends on each individuals given situation. This is the driving force behind most involved participants.
How much you are making vs. How much he/she is making?
How much money you are spending on the kids vs. How much he/she is spending on the kids?

A few months ago we went through a change in custody, and a change in child support. From the regular old-style of dad having every other week-end with his children to a more fair, progressive, modern style of dad having them 50% of the time.

Before the change, we were paying $1500.oo for the kids per month (even though we actually had them about 60% of the time, I document everything:). And now we are paying her $700.00 per month (still having about 60% of the time). Plus we pay for Rent, utilities, phone, cell-phones, food, clothes, school supplies, school fees, most after-school activities, and most medical.
Paying this much is frustrating!!!!!!- and this is to say the least about how I actually feel about feakin' subject. (see I am trying to do better)

Now- You are asking yourself............
"WHY?" "Why are you guys still paying her that much in CS?"
and if you are not asking yourself this question by now then you shouldn't be reading this blog! B/C you are insane!!!! and I want you to leave this site immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll tell you Why-

1. It is because my H makes about $15,000 more than she does a year.

2. She gets a credit because she has another child by someone else(yes, she still gets the credit even though her Husband is active and living with her). Meaning how much she actually makes a year goes down. So that it looks more like my H makes about $30,000 more than she does. Therefore we pay more a month because she has another baby. (and to think she is thinking about having another child) Damn!

Now if this is not the craziest idea known to man, I don't know what is.

I feel like starting a revolution and refusing to pay. Then I'll start yelling "FAIR IS FAIR", "FAIR IS FAIR", like that movie where the girl(Billie Jean) is done wrong, then cuts her hair and become a Bonny and Clyde type character (without Clyde though).

Anyway just wanted to vent. Tell me your stories.

Now I get it.

I always thought that it would be easy to blog.

Once a day to write something that was on the mind to clear it. To have the freedom to vent to people and to a community that understood what I had to say- (or not). But to speak my mind. To say whatever I need to say, about whomever I need to say it about. With no names attached as to not bring harm to the kids.

I want to indulge myself a little more with this blogging thing but-

Whew!!!!! Thought it would have been easier this last week. But simply have not been able to muster up the time.
Now I understand why other blogs don't write everyday.

Tomorrow I am writing about child support. In our state we have to pay more in CS b/c she (the ex) has another child w/ another man. Now if that ain't a topic!!!

And "no" I am not telling where I live. The smarter ones out there, will be able to figure it out.
